RentSher started as a peer to peer rental marketplace, overtime we shifted focus to a vendor led model enabling rental businesses to list their products and receive orders through our platform. With a mission of “Renting Made Easy”, we provide a one-stop-shop for rentals with easy discoverability, full transparency and end to end service including doorstep delivery. RentSher has made renting products as easy as booking a bus or a movie ticket - whether its a 1 day or multi-month rental.
Our India operations hub is Bangalore and the UAE ops are run from Dubai. The tech development, digital and marketing functions are centralized at Bangalore for both countries.
Today, 700 vendors across 10 cities in the two countries provide rental products and services through RentSher.
Over 100 SMEs and startups and more than 60,000 customers have made use of RentSher’s services. This year alone we have provided rentals for more than 3000 events.
Rental for events, electronics and costumes has existed for many years but has traditionally been an offline, fragmented and seasonal market. The vendors and asset owners active in this arena were not very comfortable with transacting or operating digitally. On the other hand, customers have become more tech-savvy than ever before, and want everything available to them online. When we started operating as a peer-to-peer platform and had vendors asking us if we could list their wares, we realised that we could really fill up a large market gap. By providing convenience and transparency to the market, we were able to make an immediate and tangible difference to this ecosystem and customers and vendors instantly fell in love with our platform. Their positive feedback, the smile on the face of a parent while watching their child react to a rental costume or party decorations, and the work of companies like Airbnb which opened up the sharing economy were all constant sources of inspiration.

2004-05 in CSE, he was a batch topper and first job in computer Science applications in
Healthcare & Lifestyle to leading ventures on the business expansion path from seed stage to market entry and expansion. Last 5 years, he has headed Business Development activities for
new technology initiatives in both B2B and B2C space, with hands on experience in managing
the complete sales cycle from pre-sales, marketing, negotiations, contracting and execution /

Vaibhav (CEO, RentSher ME) is a management consultant turned Entrepreneur with 12+ years of experience in strategy, business development, operations transformation and leadership. He is based in Dubai and currently the CEO of RentSher Middle East - an online marketplace for rentals for events, electronics, medical and tourism products and services. Previously, Vaibhav has worked with leading organizations such as Dubai Government, McKinsey and Company, Philips Healthcare and Tata group. He has led various challenging assignments and set-up of new business units in the GCC, Turkey and Africa along with leading various initiatives for Government entities in KSA, Bahrain and Qatar.
